About Us


Combined Action Company, incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia, is owned by Mr. Edmund A. Matricardi, Jr., a disabled United States Marine due to the wounds he received in hostile action with the enemy while serving as an advisor to the South Vietnamese Popular Forces.

Ed enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and volunteered for duty in the Republic of Vietnam in 1967.  Ed received three meritorious promotions and was given the honor of serving as a corporal squad leader of a Combined Action Company platoon ("CAP Alpha Three") in the village of Thue Phu, I Corps, Vietnam, where, he was wounded, and received, among other decorations, the Military Order of the Purple Heart Metal.  His current service connected disability rating is 60%.

 

Upon his discharge from active duty Ed completed his undergraduate education at Long Island University, and in 1973 earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law.  

 

In addition to his community and civic affairs as an active Rotarian, Ed is the Past Judge Advocate, of the Military Order of the Purple Heart of the United States of America, having held that position for 18 years, and also served on the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation Board of Directors for 9 years during the construction and dedication of the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia.  


Ed is the owner of Combined Action Company, a Virginia corporation, which he founded in 2004, choosing its name to honor the Marines with whom he served in Vietnam.
